Sharing eSIMs is a key step in delivering seamless connectivity to your customers. Below are several methods to share eSIMs efficiently and securely.
Available sharing methods
1. Individual email sharing
- Log in to the Partner Platform and select the eSIM you want to share.
- Click Share eSIM or use the Assign & Share button.
- Choose the Email sharing option.
- Configure the sharing settings:
- Verify the customer’s eSIM details.
- Include the eSIM URL for eSIMs Cloud (recommended).
- Include the eSIM PDF attachment.
- Write your Email Subject and Email Body.
- Send the eSIM via email, or preview it by sending it to yourself.
- Note: If there’s an issue, you can cancel the email sharing within 5 seconds.
2. eSIMs Cloud
For a streamlined sharing experience, choose the eSIMs Cloud sharing option:
- Share a unique link and secure access code.
- Provide customers with complete eSIM details and usage information.
- Offer installation instructions customized by device, available in 25 languages.
- Share via:
- Direct Link
- WhatsApp (pre-filled message)
3. PDF download
The PDF download option provides comprehensive installation instructions, including:
- QR code installation method
- Manual code installation method
- Device-specific instructions for 5 different devices
- PDF naming format: "esim-{ICCID}.pdf"
4. Bulk email sharing
- Go to the Partner Platform and select the eSIMs you want to share.
- Click Actions in the top-right corner, then choose:
- Assign and share eSIMs: Bulk assign eSIMs and share them in one go.
- Share eSIMs: Bulk share previously assigned eSIMs.
- Choose the sharing method by selecting:
- Each eSIM user as assigned: Share with each user using their assigned email.
- One single person: Share all eSIMs with one specific email address.
- Customize the sharing settings:
- Include the eSIM URL for eSIMs Cloud (recommended).
- Include the eSIM PDF attachment.
- Specify if you want to be added in CC.
- Customize the Email Subject and Email Body.
- Send the eSIMs via email or preview the email before sending.
- Note: You can cancel the email within 5 seconds if you notice an error.
Best practices for eSIM sharing
- If you’re providing services in languages other than English, eSIMs Cloud is ideal as it supports 25 languages.
- If you’re unsure of your customer’s device, share the eSIM via eSIMs Cloud or PDF. They’ll be able to select the appropriate installation instructions.
- For iOS 17.4+ devices (most new iPhones), installation can be done with a single tap directly in eSIMs Cloud.
- Track shared eSIMs in the eSIMs section of your account and monitor usage. Remind customers about available top-ups when they run low on data.
